Merry Christmas!!
I'm so excited about heading across to Annecy tonight to Seb's parent's place, because it means Christmas is here!
Time for papillotes, buche de Noel, fromage and general overindulgence hahah! And skiing for the New Year (at least I might burn off a bit of the chocolate!) in Courchevel. Plus 10 full days with mon amour, where he doesn't have to go to work!
Looking forward to giving my camera a workout too, I'll have scenery shots of mountains and snow coming out of my ears :)
Until next year most likely.... au revoir!

I'm here!
So I'm here in France finally! It certainly put on a good welcome for me - the night I arrived it was minus 4 in Paris! But I am getting used to it being winter again, and the cold isn't bothering me too much at all.
After about a week in Lyon, Seb and I moved into the new apartment, and I absolutely love it!
Despite the abundance of floral wallpaper and outdated tiles, it's got a good feel to it, and I think it's going to be perfect for us.
Can't wait to get stuck into renovating it - especially knocking down the wall between the loungeroom and the 3rd bedroom!
A few photos are up on Facebook of my limited adventures so far, feel free to check them out :)

Counting down...
I'm not much of a blogger. Far too sporadic.
Update - visa approved, flights booked, train tickets booked, packing underway, basically on track to fly out on the 30th of November - yay!
I'm sort of excited, but also terrified, which I suppose is normal! Just looking forward to a new stage of my life because I'm in a bit of a limbo at the moment!
Under a month to go.........

No more wisdom
Finally the stupid wisdom teeth are out, such a relief!
Hurts a bit today and my face is still numb (hopefully a temporary thing!!) but I'm just glad they're out.
Damned heart is playing up as well, just when I thought I had all that nonsense under control, it starts up again. Just for once I'd like not to pass out in public and embarrass the hell out of myself, it's so frustrating. Particularly because most people think I'm putting it on, and don't believe me when I try to explain the condition. Argh whatever.
Anyway, another tick in the box of things to do before my trip. Not long to go now :)

Bye bye house
How very bizarre to be sitting here in my empty apartment, thinking how quickly 2 years went!
Feels like I was only just moving in a few months back!
It's quite cleansing to move out, I'll be able to throw out heaps of stuff I don't need (and never really did) and consolidate down to the important stuff. That's the theory anyway, it doesn't help when I'm one of those people who says "Oh I might need that one day, it could come in handy". Must be ruthless!!
I'm excited about tomorrow and going back to G town. I will officiallly no longer be a Frankston resident, and I will be one step closer to France!!

And the countdown begins
So, I'm now officially unemployed. Which means I can get stuck into the organising for my big trip.
Lots to do, but it's exciting to be getting things done at last!
Someone said to me a few weeks back - "How many stressful things could you possibly squeeze into one year?" - and they're right! Ahh!
I've quit my job, I'm moving out of my apartment, I'm moving overseas, I'm getting married, I have to find a job in France, it's likely we'll be renovating an apartment in Lyon..... but it can be done, I'm sure of that!
Anyway this blog is basically just a vent for me when things get too stressful with the whole move to France, and will probably turn into a central spot for my (many) photos of the beautiful France!
